G+. "Roger E. Geeslin, 87, of Memphis, died Monday, November 5. Mr. Geeslin retired from Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division where he was a substation operator. He was also a member of Longview Heights Baptist Church. Mr. Geeslin was preceded in death by his wife Claudine, and two sons, Kenneth and Jimmy Geeslin.
He is survived by one sister, Willa Mae Key and her husband Jake of Southaven, Miss.; three brother-in-laws, Pete Meredith, of Olive Branch, Miss., Sonny Meredith of Lake Providence, L.A. and Shelby Oglesby of Bett, Miss.; four grandchildren, Brian K. Geeslin of Olive Branch, Miss., Wendy G. Pirtle of Olive Branch, Miss., Dana Geeslin of Southaven, Miss.; and Alisha Degraw of Southaven, Miss.; five great-grandchildren; and three grand dogs, Fred, Sadie and Sugar.
Visitation was held Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 9 at the funeral home with burial following at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Independence, Miss.
